Collin Crawson
Biology Major (BS), Class of 2024
I am really excited for this Biology Mentoring program. I am on the Pre-Med track and hope to become a Pediatrician later on. I attended these meetings last year, and I joined as a mentor this year because I wanted students to have the same academic opportunities I did. I believe that I can help some of these students achieve their goals and learn to love learning, especially about Biology.

Pharmaceutical Sciences Major, Class of 2024
I am from Hazlehurst, MS, and I hope to do pharmaceutical research or drug compounding once I graduate. The biology mentoring program provides students with techniques and skills to perform better in not only Bisc 160 and 162 but other classes as well. Being a mentee last year (and now a mentor) has helped me feel connected to the Biology department, as I get to form connections with biology professors and students. This program has taught me leadership and study skills, and I love getting to know students and helping them in the best way I can.

Biology Major, Class of 2024
I wanted to be a mentor this year because of the impact my mentors last year had on me. I knew how much they helped me through Biology 160, and I wanted to do the same for others. Being a mentee as well as a mentor has helped me become more involved and informed not only in the biology department but on campus as well. I hope to go to medical school after graduating.

My name is Lily Snow and I am from Olive Branch, Mississippi. I am a member of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA), Gemma Beta Phi, Omicron Kappa Delta. Anna Katherine Thomas
Pre-Pharmacy Major, Class of 2023
During my time at UM I’ve become involved with the EE Pharmacy program, HOCO, an AOII, and am currently president of The Epilepsy Connection. I absolutely adore this campus, and my favorite place to study is the HOCO porch. After graduating from UM I hope to attend UMMC’s professional pharmacy school and to eventually work in nuclear pharmacy. An interesting fact about me is that I am obsessed with dinosaurs and will accept any dinosaur jokes or items you might find. I became a biology mentor to help students like myself who struggled with adjusting to a college study schedule and lifestyle and would love to pass along the lessons I learned!

Biology Major, Chemistry Minor, Class of 2024
I am on the Pre-Med Track hoping to go to UMMC. I love being a biology mentor because I can help kids that are truly trying to learn and offer them valuable insight.
Lindsey Poirot
Pharmacy Major, Early Entry Pharmacy Program, Class of 2024
I am from southern Illinois. This is my first year as a biology mentor. I think the mentor program is a positive program because it helps build connections with other peers and allows you to receive study tips from actual students.
